Eternal Light, The

The existence of man in the modern age of science and technology, is becoming more and more mechanical and consequently he is exposed to constant tension and frustration. Dissatisfied with these unhappy conditions, serous minded people are asking the questions:'What is the place of the individual in the vast scheme of evolution? Is he destined to remain a mere plaything in the hands of evolutionary forces? Has he no creative role to play?

Esoteric Writtings

This collection of articles on varied and unusual subjects by a brilliant young Brahman scholar, lawyer, mystic and occultist, is a mine of information. The author, Swami T.  Suba Row, was born in 1856 and during the brief years before his death in 1890, he not only wrote these articles but also gave a series of lectures at the annual convention of the Theosophical Society, later published as Philosophy of the Bhagavad-gita.

Esoteric Christianity

If true knowledge, the gnosis, is again to form a part of Christian teachings, the idea of levelling down to the capacities of the least developed must be definitely surrendered. Only by teaching above the grasp of the less evolved can the way be opened up for a restoration of arcane knowledge, and the study of the Lesser Mysteries must precede that of the Greater. The Lesser Mysteries - the partial unveiling of deep truths - can even now be restored, and this volume outlines them and shows the nature of the teachings  that have to be mastered

Esoteric Buddhism

This book was published in 1883 and probably constituted the earliest sketch of esoteric teachings given in plain language. 'Karma' and 'Reincarnation' and other such terms, almost unknown in the west, thereafter came to be used in literary and theological circles

The author candidly acknowledges that it was the 'favour' (of the Adepts) rather than 'effort' on his part that helped the writing of the book. He received teachings from great Spiritual Teachers or Mahatmas through Madame Blavatsky.
