Thought Power, Its Control and Culture

At the world level, we assess our ability, strength, or power before embarking upon a new venture. At the higher level, the value of knowledge is tested by its power to purify and ennoble one's life, and by its application to the evolution of one's character. This book helps to understand better one's intellectual nature in order to cultivate the good in it, and allow the One Self to be the Knower.

Thought Forms

Hardly a moment of our waking life passes without thoughts. Are thoughts material? What do they look like? We assume that, being silent and unnoticed by others, ideas and thoughts are insignificant, but each one of them is that much of a power for good or evil, for us and for others, in the measure of its quality and intensity. This is clearly brought out with the aid of many coloured plates and graphic drawings conveying the power of thought.

Theosophy, the Divine Wisdom

'Theosophy' is defied neither in the Constituion of the Theosophical Society nor in any official document. It has to be discovered partly by study of ancient and modern writings, and partly by meditation and enquiry.

Theosophy is a knowledge of truth in its essence. This requires going very deeply into the nature or principle present in all that exists- in matter, life, consciousness, and also in our hearts, making it possible for us to know the truth.

Theosophy Explained in Questions & Answers

The work of the Theosophical Society involves a way of life which leads to self-knowledge and knowledge of the laws of being. Only when man begins to act, think, feel, and 'be' in accordance with the unchanging and unchangeable laws which pervade and regulate all things in the visible as well as the invisible worlds, does his psyche permit spiritual energy to flow through  from hidden depths. Both individual regeneration and the reordering of human society in such a way that harmony, freedom and creativity flourish, depend on discovering the right way of living.
