Occult Chemistry

Annie Besant and C.W.Leadbeater observed  clairvoyantly  and reported their findings  on the ultimate structure of matter nearly a century ago. The  presentation of the constitution of atoms and nuclei by modern science, especially the so-called Standard Model of Elementary Particles, can be compared with and corroborates their findings.

The Pioneering work of these two clairvoyants has fascinated a number of liberal and open-minded scientists of today.

O Hidden Life... An Exposition

Some time in early 1923, Dr Annie Besant, then President of the Theosophical Society, penned some lines that have since become familiar to members throughout the world, have been translated into several languages, and have, indeed, become a nearly indispensable part of every theosophist's vocabulary. The words have been set to music, they have been chanted and sung, and few gatherings of the Society have been held since that year have been opened without the recitation of these words.

Noble Eightfold Path, The

This book contains the texts of two talks, one by Dr Annie Besant ad the other by C.W. Leadbeater, on the Fourth Noble Truth of the Buddha's teaching: the Noble Eightfold Path. The talks are clear and simple, pointing out the logical sequence in the steps on the Eightfold Path and above all stressing, by means of easily understandable examples, how they can be applied to daily life. In such application lie the importance of the Noble Eightfold Path.

No Other Path to Go

The destiny of the human being is to travel on a path leading to perfection. The Kathopanishad says this spiritual path is like  'the sharp edge of a razor, difficult to cross and hard to tread'. A teacher or a guru may at best give a hint or indicate the direction of the path, but the aspirant has to tread the path by himself.

This little volume describes the nature of the path, the qualifications needed, and the pitfalls encountered. As the theosophical classic Light on the Path says: 'Each man is to himself absolutely the way, the truth, and the life.'

Nirvana

This book is a description of Nirvana and Nirvanic consciousness as experienced by the author. 'Each section is the pen impression of the Nirvanic landscape just as it impressed itself upon me at that time' writes Dr G.S.Arundale. Here is a remarkable passage:

Bathed in the lightning -standing -still which is Nirvana, I perceive the imprisoned lightnings in all things ... the Light which is bright- (in) the man evolved; the Light which is glory - the Superman, the Master.

Negative Approach, The

This book contains essays on a variety of subjects in the fields of religion, philosophy, psychology, education, the meaning of life and everyday living. An original light is cast on some teachings of Hinduism and Buddhism which are interpreted psychologically in a way reminiscent of Krishnamurti's teachings. The author's approach is logical, sometimes inspiring and often useful in helping us towards a certain understanding of that which cannot be expressed in words.

Necessity for Reincarnation, The

Annie Besant points out here that the doctrine of Reincarnation does not belong only to the East but was part of primitive Christianity and other religions. It is essential for arriving at a rational explanation of life and of human progress and character. From the moral standpoint also, it is a necessity, if faith in Divine Justice ans Divine Love is to be sustained while facing pain and difficulties. It is reasonable to accept Reincarnation,  at least as a postulate, if human life is destined to reach Perfection.
